Independent Watchmaker timepieces fluctuate somewhat, as most are priced in Euro's & Swiss Francs rather than US dollars. I'll try to give ranges on each makers pieces in order to give you a good idea. As many of these items are order pieces, the final price and delivery time will need to be confirmed via Telephone and/or e-mail.

A unique piece, the Speake-Marin Platinum Piccadilly engraved dial

I am excited to be able to offer this watch, which I originally sold in 2005. Back then, having been making watches for only 2 years under his own name, he only had one model which had varying dials and case materials.

It has had one owner and has been carefully looked after. This is the second ever platinum watch Peter made and originally was the serial#1 of a possible 8. Soon after making this and my enamel dialed Piccadilly, also Sreial #1, he decided the platinum case was so expensive to make, that he would only use them for complicated watches, such as the Vintage Tourbillon Mark 1, which was limited to 10 pieces. This then made these watches unique by definition. Thi watch has to be seen to be believed, it is stunning!

It is cased in a massive 38mm platinum case and sports an 18K red gold crown to match the three part solid 18K gold hand engraved dial.

The watch comes with all original boxes and papers.

Current replacement $45,000

A rare 18k WG van der Klaauw Astrolabium

This is the pinnacle of Christiaan's watchmaking to date. His most complicated wristwatch features a complication only found to my knowledge on this watch and the rather more famous Ulysse Nardin watch known by the same name. The complexity of the 2D representations of what is essentially a 3D Astrolabe is quite something and much admired by afficianados of astronomical complications in wristwatches.

This 18k WG watch shows a variety of information, the true solar noon, the sunrise and sunset, the moonphase and whether or not there is a solar or lunar eclips happening somewhere on earth. Not to mention the current time and the approximate date!

It comes with all original boxes and papers and is in mint condition. Possibly a unique watch with this dial, as it was custom made for the previous owner. Dial set up for the latitude of Los Angeles.

WILL SELL FOR $SOLD

Current new selling price approx. $55,000

The exhibition back reveals the lovely hand engravinging of Mr. Benzinger.
